Are there adverse effects from taking Bio-C Vitamin?

Intakes of a vitamin C supplement in excess of 2000mg per day may cause gastrointestinal disturbance in susceptible individuals and may also interfere with the absorption of calcium and selenium.

Vitamin C facilitates the absorption of iron from the diet, therefore you should not take high doses with iron overload syndromes such as thalasaemia and haematochromatosis.
